I firmly believe that policy needs to be in the hands of our grassroots. It should be proposed, discussed and voted-on on regularly, engaging as many as possible in the development of concrete proposals that will help meet the challenges of today and in the decades to come.
As Liberals, we like to call ourselves the Party of ideas but where do all of our ideas go? Public Policy development as it currently stands isn’t very “public” at all. We need to change that: policy development and discussion must be done in public.
We cannot be afraid to openly discuss the ideas that are the core of who we are. It is that openness that has to distinguish us if we are to be a party that Canadians feel reflects their values. I hope you take the time to outline my policy platform.
As always, I believe in debate and welcome your feedback.
